Alabama A&M signs nine student-athletes during early signing period

NORMAL — It was a big day during early signing period as the Alabama A&M University football program signed nine players Wednesday that will help bolster the roster for the upcoming 2026 season.

“Bulldog Nation, I am extremely pleased to welcome nine brand new Bulldogs to our home field,” Alabama A&M head football coach Sam Shade said. “I am extremely pleased with the way our coaching staff hit the roads to help push to get these new additions. They did a tremendous job, and we got a lot of great student-athletes.

“In addition, we were also able to get guys that help fill some of our position needs.”

The Bulldogs snagged two athletes (Cameron Munford and Dylan Jackson) and six offensive players – offensive linemenCaden Adams and Jelani Wilmer-Cotton; tight ends Jakobe Gilbert, Jeremiah McGilberry and Cameron Munford; and wide receiver Earl Collins III.

On the defensive side, Alabama A&M added Darius Burwell from Huntsville’s Mae Jemison High School.
