ATHENS — The Limestone County Water and Sewer Authority has lifted the boil order for the Ardmore area.
However the utility said Ardmore, South Giles, and Minor Hill customers are still under the order.
“… all the tanks in the system have substantially regained water.” the authority said. “While they are not full, we can see the path back to normal. This does not mean we are entirely out of the woods; we are still concerned about the soil contraction and expansion with the freeze/ thaw cycle and main breaks that can occur during those transitions.”
The utility also said its list of customers with leaks has “reduced significantly.”
“However, we still have accounts showing significant leaks,” it said. “Again, please look around your property for leaks.”
