And the center’s employees know that every second counts.
And, for its work, Athens Limestone County 911 was recognized as the Public Safety Answering Point of the Year for Alabama.
The award came last week at the Alabama 911 Board User Conference.
“This is a great honor and a special accomplishment for all of us here in Limestone County,” Athens Limestone County 911 posted on its Facebook page. “We would like to thank all of our employees, both in Operations and Administration, who make us great in all that we do.
“Without a staff that is dedicated to serving the public 24/7 x 365, none of this is possible.”
The organization also recognized the all-volunteer board of directors for its support and help.
