ATHENS — Foodies of Limestone County unite!

That’s right. It’s  time for the second annual Downtown Athens Restaurant Week.

Hosted by Athens Main Street, the city comes alive with flavors and culinary delights through Aug. 25.

It’s a celebration of the local community and the hardworking chefs, restaurateurs, and staff who make dining in downtown Athens an unforgettable experience. So, come show your support for the local businesses that bring flavor and creativity to our town’s vibrant dining scene.

Then, to top it off – as if this wasn’t enough, the city will hold “Summer Sippin’.”

Modeled after the highly popular Sippin’ Cider every December, Summer Sippin’ features merchants creating special summer drinks for customers. And, just like Sippin’ Cider, there is a vote for the best drink.

Summer Sippin’ is Aug. 24 from 4-8 p.m. A list of the participating merchants is available here.
