Brittany Howard & Jason Isbell: In Conversation

HUNTSVILLE – It’s a match made in north Alabama music Heaven.
But, when Brittany Howard joins Jason Isbell onstage in August in Huntsville, it will be in conversation – not song.
“Brittany Howard & Jason Isbell: In Conversation” features an in-depth conversation between the Grammy-winning musicians and songwriters. The duo will be recognized as Alabama Humanities Fellows for how they use the humanities — and their north Alabama roots — to lift others up and bring us together.
A part of the 2024 Alabama Colloquium series, the event is Aug. 26 at the Von Braun Center Mark C. Smith Concert Hall. It is a benefit for the Alabama Humanities Alliance, a nonprofit and nonpartisan organization that provides public programming and grant opportunities statewide.

Howard, an Athens native, and Isbell, who was born in Green Hill in Lauderdale County, will be presented their awards by musician-songwriter Patterson Hood of Muscle Shoals.

Tickets start at $75 (plus applicable fees on all price levels) and are available at the VBC Box Office and online here.
