SHEFFIELD — Construction at Bank Independent’s Operations Center in Sheffield continues to proceed.

Situated on a 50-acre site that was owned by the Tennessee Valley Authority, the 95,000 square-foot complex is designed with the surrounding forest in mind.

Glass curtain walls provide panoramic views and allow natural light into the two-story lobby. The facility includes open-plan office spaces, dining areas, and a fitness center. The outdoor spaces support the theme of connecting Bank Independent to nature.
The building is being dried in, Lambert Ezell Durham Architecture said. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work are continuing, and drywall is being installed.
Calvin Durham with LED Architecture is the lead architect in association with KPS Group. Robins & Morton is general contractor for the project.
