Cyber Huntsville opens applications for US Cyber Academy scholarships

HUNTSVILLE – Young students with an interest in cyber technology and with family ties to Cyber Huntsville are invited to apply for scholarships to attend a week-long program.

The U.S. Cyber Academy at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center runs June 30 through July 5. The scholarship includes one week at the Cyber Academy, a daily class t-shirt, and a $25 wristband stipend. Sixteen students will be chosen as scholarship recipients. 

Any child or grandchild, age 12-14 years old, of a parent, grandparent, or guardian with Cyber Huntsville through personal membership, membership of an employer, or Cyber Huntsville-supported government organizations can apply. Organizations include SMDC, AvMC, MDA, PEO MS, PEO AV, RTC, TSMO, MSIC, NASA, SDA, AMC, FBI, and the city of Huntsville.

The scholarship does not include travel expenses. Criteria include American citizenship, a hand-written essay, school grades, and an interest in cyber.
