Decatur Career Center partnering with the Lawrence County Community of Churches for job fair

DECATUR – For people in Lawrence and Morgan counties who are seeking a job or change in career, the Decatur Career Center has an opportunity this week.

The center is Partnering with the Lawrence County Community of Churches for the Lawrence County Job Fair. It will be Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 11450 Alabama Highway 33 in Moulton.

The Lawrence County Job Fair will feature more than 40 companies including First Solar, G&C Steel, Cook’s Pest, Pilgrims, Lockheed Industries, City of Decatur, Alabama Power, GE Appliances, Decatur Morgan Hospital, Clayton Homes, and Express Pros.

The Alabama Career Center System is part of the Alabama Department of Labor’s Employment Services Division. There are 57 Career Centers throughout the state, touching all 67 counties.

Career Centers provide free services for both jobseekers and employers, including résumé and interview preparation services, educational and vocational training, along with workforce development services and wage assistance.
