Discover summer fun with Huntsville Parks & Recreation’s Summer Program Guide

HUNTSVILLE — With summer just around the corner, it’s a great time to explore the seasonal offerings in Huntsville Parks & Recreation’s 2025 Summer Program Guide.

The jam-packed guide features more than 100 free activities, workshops and special events that promise fun in the sun and cool opportunities to chill out.

“There’s truly something for everyone in this guide,” said Parks & Recreation Director James Gossett. “Many of our programs are free, and we’re offering more than just sports. We’re creating chances to connect, explore and enjoy summer in meaningful ways.”

Looking to stay active? There are plenty of options to get fit, from energetic Zumba sessions to a variety of strength classes. There are also athletic offerings, from traditional sports like volleyball and soccer to new favorites like pickleball and Futsal.

Love nature and the outdoors? Explore mountain bike rides tailored for both beginners and intermediate riders. Budding artists can unlock their creativity through art and sewing classes.

The guide also features details about upcoming special events. From youth fishing rodeos to celebratory festivals honoring fathers, the summer calendar is filled with opportunities for family fun.
