HUNTSVILLE — If your golf game is up to par, then it’s time to tee it up for a good cause.

The 19th annual Swing for Shelter golf tournament to benefit the Downtown Rescue Mission is set for May 23 at Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Hampton Cove.

The  tournament features side games, drawings, and the chance to win a new vehicle in a hole-in-one contest.

During lunch, participants will hear a testimony from a program graduate who is now a chaplain at the mission.

The Downtown Rescue Mission is a nonprofit serving as a lighthouse for the homeless in North Alabama and the surrounding area since 1975. The mission provides emergency shelter, warm meals, medical services, Bible-based life recovery programs and more to those in need in the community.
