Fridays After Five in Athens rescheduled; May gets a double dose of downtown fun

ATHENS — It’s said that good things come to those who wait.

Well, hang on to that because it’ll be another three weeks before a good thing comes to the downtown square in Athens.

Due to inclement weather in Friday’s forecast, Athens Main Street has rescheduled this month’s Fridays After Five to May 16.

But here’s the good news – the fun is twice as nice in May.

There are now two chances to enjoy Fridays After Five: May 16 and May 30.

That means twice the live music, twice the food truck goodness, and twice the opportunity to shop, dine, and explore downtown Athens.

On May 16, Juice Party Band and DJ J Dawg will provide the tunes on a high-energy evening.

So, thanks for rolling with the weather and be ready to rock downtown in three weeks.
