Gateway Village at Swan Creek adds an upscale, modern touch to Athens

ATHENS — The doors are opening and the ribbon is being cut today for what has been called “the first truly luxury apartment community built in Athens.”

Gateway Village at Swan Creek apartments is hosting a ribbon-cutting and grand opening celebration 4 p.m. today. The development is 16305 Athens Limestone Boulevard.

The newly built property provides “unparalleled amenities, spacious high-end apartment interiors, and immediate proximity to restaurants, retail, and employment centers,” the developers said.

“We are very excited to bring Athens and Limestone County a very upscale and modern development,” said developer Raymond Jones. “We are so honored to officially be part of the Athens community and know our residents will enjoy living here as well.”

An 8,000 square-foot clubhouse and amenity center features a fitness center with strength, aerobic, and on-demand yoga facilities; a clubroom for residents offering a full kitchen, complimentary Starbucks coffee, and café seating; and an expansive covered patio overlooking a resort style pool with tanning decks and a swim-up bar.

Poolside amenities include a pool deck with two grilling stations, activity turf areas, and ample seating to soak up the sun.

The property also has two additional grilling stations, multiple fire pits with Adirondack seating, and a fenced Bark Park with pet-friendly synthetic turf and Pet Spa with dedicated stations to wash and dry pets.

Three four-story buildings with elevators contain 256 one-, two-, and three-bedroom units ranging in size from 650 to more than 1,400 square feet. The interiors include granite counters, wood vinyl plank and carpet flooring, stainless appliances, full size front-load washer and dryers, ceiling fans, and gigabit internet.
