FLORENCE – A two-vehicle crash Wednesday involving a farm combine claimed the life of a Tuscaloosa man, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Troopers said Joshua D. Strozier, 26, of Tuscaloosa was fatally injured when a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado pickup he was driving collided head-on with a 2017 John Deere S690 Combine driven by Brandon D. Bruce, 37, of Florence. Strozier was not using his seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

The crash occurred around 1:15 p.m. near the seven-mile marker of Alabama Highway 20, approximately 11 miles west of Florence, in Lauderdale County.

No other information is available as troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
