Huntsville Animal Services inviting community to ‘Adopt on the Spot’

Huntsville Animal Services

HUNTSVILLE — For those who are looking to bring a loving and grateful addition into their home, Huntsville Animal Services is hosting “Adopt on the Spot.”

The pop-up event will give prospective pet owners the chance to find a new companion in need whether it be a puppy, a loyal adult dog, or an excited kitten. To help ease the adoption process, Animal Services will be accepting cash or checks.

“Adopting a pet from Huntsville Animal Services provides a loving home for an animal in need,” Interim Director Virgie Graham said. “It also helps us continue our mission to care for and protect the animals of our community.”

Animal Services staff will assist with paperwork and answer questions about pet care and adoption procedures.

A full list of available pets can be found here.

“Adopt on the Spot” is scheduled for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Petsense, 3110 Mountain Cove Circle, Owens Cross Roads.

Animal Services is open Monday and Wednesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Animal Services will be closed Monday for the Labor Day holiday. Call 256-883-3782, visit //HuntsvilleAL.gov/Animal or visit their Facebook page to learn more.
