HUNTSVILLE — Huntsville City FC has the spirit … how about you?

The Boys in Blue will be bringing the spirit with them Sunday and invites the fans to wear their colors for School Spirit Night at Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium.

HCFC is also unbeaten in six of their last seven matches with a pair of back-to-back 4-0 wins, including last Saturday’s dominant 4-0 win over Crown Legacy FC in North Carolina.

The Boys in Blue (9-4-5, 3 SOW) are in fourth place in the MLS NEXT Pro Eastern Conference, just one point behind third-place Chicago 10-5-4, 2 SOW). Huntsville City FC is looking to carry the momentum into Sunday’s match against Carolina Core FC (5-7-8, 4 SOW, 27 points). Kickoff is 6 p.m. For tickets, click here.

Last Saturday, Christian Koffi continued his hot streak with a pair of goals bolstering the club’s third straight win and fifth in their last seven matches.

Koffi is sixth in MLS NEXT Pro with 10 goals this season.

Huntsville City started strong in the first half when Alan Carleton assisted Christian Koffi for the opening goal.

Early in the second half and HCFC still holding a 1-0 lead, Blake Bowen drew a penalty kick. While the initial attempt was disrupted, Carleton followed up with the rebound to score the second goal of the evening.

Koffi added his second goal of the match shortly after, giving him a brace and putting Huntsville up 3-0. Damien Barker John closed out the scoring to make it 4-0.
