Huntsville City FC to host open tryouts

HUNTSVILLE — If you have a dream – and the talent – to play professional soccer, the Huntsville City Football Club is offering that opportunity.

The second-year club is hosting open tryouts for the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro Season. The tryouts are Jan. 20 and 21. Registration is available here through Jan. 15.

The open tryouts will give participants a chance to showcase their skills to Huntsville City FC Head Coach Jack Collison and the team’s technical staff. Two players who participated in the 2023 open tryouts made it to the initial HCFC preseason squad, with one of them playing in a preseason match.

For $200, participants, 18 and older, can take to the pitch at the new turf fields at John Hunt Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration opens at 9 a.m.
