HUNTSVILLE – A 132-acre industrial park is planned for the expanding area of western Madison County.

Birmingham developer J.H. Berry & Gilbert is building the 2.2 million square-foot Huntsville Logistics Center on Old Highway 20 at Gunters Way, off County Line Road in west Madison County, the company said. The first phase of the park is expected to open late this year.

“Huntsville is the fastest growing city in Alabama, and we believe the Huntsville Logistics Center is a perfect site for both logistics and industrial businesses with its strategic location between the new Greenbrier Parkway and the Huntsville airport,” said Edwin Moss, executive vice president of J.H. Berry & Gilbert. “The Flint Development team that will be delivering this project has extensive experience and has delivered several similar Class A projects around the country.

“We are honored to be a part this new addition to the Huntsville landscape.”

The 132-acre class A industrial development consists of four buildings with easy access to I-565, Huntsville International Airport and the MazdaToyota Manufacturing campus.

Moss said the new industrial park will fit with Huntsville’s business industries.

“When you look at some of the leading employers in Huntsville, including giants such as Polaris, Mazda Toyota Manufacturing, Buffalo Rock, Amazon, LG Electronics, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, and, (Redstone Arsenal), the Huntsville Logistics Center is positioned alongside some exciting industrial business leaders and innovators,” said Moss. “Our industrial team knows this will be an exceptional addition to the Huntsville business community,”

Leasing for the park is handled by Edwin Moss, Jake Bottcher and Sonny Potter. Moss and Philip Currie represented Flint Development in the land purchase.
