CENTREVILLE — A Huntsville man was one of two people killed Tuesday in a single-car wreck in Bibb County, according to state troopers.

Jedarius K. Chancey, 31, of Huntsville was fatally injured when the 2008 Lexus ES 350 he was driving left the roadway just before 3 p.m. Tuesday, struck a ditch and then a tree, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said in a news release. Chancey was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jasmine S. McGary, 27, of Selma, a passenger in the Lexus, was also pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers said a 2-year-old passenger and a 6-year-old passenger were injured and transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.

The crash occurred on Alabama 139 near the 6-mile marker, approximately 15 miles east of Centreville, in Bibb County. Nothing further is available as troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
