Huntsville Parks & Recreation hosting trades career expo

HUNTSVILLE — The Huntsville Parks & Recreation Department is offering a chance to build Huntsville while building careers next month.

The Trades Career Expo iwill provide an opportunity to with Huntsville professionals, employers and training programs in the skilled trades industry.

It is set for June 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. the Max Luther Community Center, 207 Max Luther Drive.

“Huntsville has no shortage of opportunity for residents wanting to explore new career spaces,” said Dorianne Johnson, superintendent of Recreation for Community Services. “This expo concentrates the options making it easy for job seekers to find what they’re looking for.”

The event will offer networking opportunities to those looking to gain hands-on experience, explore different career pathways, prepare to apply for new jobs and more.

Representatives and recruiters from public, private and educational organizations will be at the site.

The event is free, but registration is required here by June 15.
