Huntsville Police Department closing downtown roads for Panoply

HUNTSVILLE – The Panoply Arts Festival brings plenty of artists, musicians, food vendors and other participants to Big Spring Park every year. The event also produces a lot of pedestrian traffic. This year’s 42nd edition will be no different.

With that in mind, the Huntsville Police Department is assisting with traffic control and road closures for the weekend this weekend.

In preparation for the event, several streets around Big Spring Park will be closed:

  • The westbound lanes of Williams Avenue between Church Street and Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard are closed for event setup.
  • At 8 a.m. today, all lanes of Church Street between Clinton and William avenues will close.
  • The closures will remain in effect until 5 p.m. Monday to accommodate event breakdown.

“Creativity comes together to celebrate a full weekend of art, music and more,’’ said Allison Dillon-Jauken, executive director of Arts Huntsville. “So we look forward to celebrating Huntsville’s community creativity with you in Big Spring Park in downtown Huntsville at Panoply.”
