One of Huntsville’s many homegrown gems, Cummings Aerospace, has appointed chief systems engineer Roger F. Bartlett, to program director at the company’s Tucson, Arizona facility.

In his new role at Cummings Aerospace, Bartlett will oversee Tucson program execution, business development efforts, and act as a subject matter expert (SME) in mechanical, thermal, and systems engineering.

“Roger’s education and professional experience add breadth and depth to our existing mechanical engineering competencies and DoD program leadership expertise,” said Sheila Cummings, president and CEO of Cummings Aerospace in Huntsville.

Bartlett brings over 30 years of experience in DoD program engineering, including a variety of positions as lead engineer and integrated product team lead.

He holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Brigham Young University. He is also a graduate of a rigorous corporate systems engineering training program.

Bartlett’s experience includes the product development cycle from detailed design and integration, to testing and production support for many Missile Defense Agency and U.S. Army programs.
