HUNTSVILLE — A Huntsville-based engineering and R&D company was recently awarded a contract valued at nearly $475 million by the Missile Defense Agency.

IERUS Technologies was the winner of the competitive cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. The total value of this contract is $474,955,602, the Department of Defense said in a news release.

Under the contract, IERUS will perform Missile Defense System test related activities for multiple radar platforms that includes planning, executing, and analyzing sensor performance in system flight tests and ground tests (including integration testing) for each assigned test event defined in the Integrated Master Test Plan.

The work will be performed in Huntsville through October 2034. The Missile Defense Agency in Huntsville is the contracting activity.
