HUNTSVILLE — The viewing opportunities for today’s solar eclipse may be cloudy around North Alabama, but NASA is hosting live coverage of the eclipse starting at noon today.

The eclipse will start around 12:45 p.m., peak around 2 p.m. and end about 3 p.m. The Tennessee Valley will see between 80% and about 90% coverage.

NASA’s coverage will include live views of the eclipse from across North America, special appearances by NASA experts, astronauts aboard the space station, and an inside look at NASA’s eclipse science experiments and watch parties across the country.
