Jags on parade! Mae Jemison High School Homecoming parade stepping out

HUNTSVILLE – There will be a lot of blue and gold today in the Rolling Hills neighborhood in north Huntsville to celebrate Mae Jemison High School Homecoming and the Homecoming parade.
And Huntsville police will provide traffic control and public safety support for the parade that steps off at 5 p.m.
The parade will begin at Rolling Hills Elementary School at 5 p.m. and will travel west on Hilltop Terrace, south on Wayne Court, west on Nabors Lane and south on Lumary Drive, ending at the rear of the school.
Roads along the parade route will be closed starting at 4:45 p.m. and will reopen after the parade ends.
Closures will also be in effect at the following intersections:
  • Hilltop Terrace at Wayne Court
  • Wayne Court at Nabors Lane
  • Nabors Lane at Lumary Drive
HPD’s Traffic Services Unit will monitor the route, direct traffic and ensure the safety of parade participants and spectators.
Residents are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes when possible.
