Jazz, climbing and camps: Huntsville Parks & Recreation’s fall guide available

HUNTSVILLE – Get ready for an exciting fall as Huntsville Parks & Recreation launches its Fall Program Guide with something for everyone, from indoor climbing to jazz concerts.

“As we continue to expand our programming and activities, we want to ensure everyone knows what’s available in their community,” said Parks & Recreation Director James Gossett.

The guide offers more than 100 programs, nearly all of which are free. New offerings include indoor wall-climbing classes, fall break youth specialty camps, Art in the Park, Adaptive Recreation Talent Show and more.

The season also focuses on getting healthy ahead of the sweets-filled holidays with Sweat-Tember Fitness Fun. Other special events include Jazz in the Park-Huntsville, Parents Nights Out and Halloween activities at recreation centers across the city.

To help residents make the most of these opportunities, the guide lists everything in one easy-to-use resource. Looking for the closest park, playground or recreation center? Users will find that in the guide, too.
