Juneteenth Festival postponed due to inclement weather in forecast

HUNTSVILLE – With a forecast of rain and possible storms Saturday, Huntsville’s annual Juneteenth Festival has been postponed, city officials announced.

The free, family friendly event will now be June 28 from 5-9 p.m. at Big Spring Park downtown.

The evening, presented by Amazon and Huntsville’s Office of Multicultural Affairs, features performances, fireworks and hands-on STEAM activities.

The festival will be headlined by Element XI, known for their high-energy performances and crowd-pleasing sound. The Huntsville Community Drumline will open the event.
