MADISON — There will soon be more to love of Kids to Love.

Fite Building Co. crews began site preparation this month on a 17,000 square-foot addition to the Kids to Love campus, and a groundbreaking celebration was held Friday next to the Kids to Love Center at 140 Castle Drive.

The new site will offer holistic services to children and families, including trauma therapy, foster parent training, workforce training, and a warehouse of supplies for emergency assistance.  

“Work has been going on for a while now to prepare for our new building,” Kids to Love founder and CEO Lee Marshall said. “After months of planning and preparation, our vision of a new campus to further our mission of serving children in our community is finally taking shape.”

Expansion details:

• The Smith Family Wellness Center, Grant Hill Trauma Team: This group of professionals will be focused on helping people heal from trauma. The Grant Hill Trauma Team has served more than 100 clients through instinctual trauma response therapy and equine therapy. The Wellness Center was made possible by donations from Linda Smith, and Brad and Stacey Hill.

• The Isenberg Center for Education and Innovation: An expansive, contemporary facility used by both Kids to Love and KTECH, Kids to Love’s licensed private school for workforce training. The multipurpose space also will serve as a special venue space used for KTECH graduations, foster parent training, organizational events and conferences. The center is being made possible by Hank Isenberg of IronMountain Solutions.

• The Curtis Cares Center: An expansion of the current Curtis Cares Center in the Kids to Love Center. Thanks to a donation from Matt and Courtney Curtis, Kids to Love will have more much-needed warehouse space to hold toys, clothing and other items that children in foster care need.
