HUNTSVILLE — After rainy conditions forced Huntsville Parks and Recreation to postpone the much-anticipated annual “Light up the Night” event last month, organizers quickly rescheduled the event.
The event will be Friday at Big Spring Park from 6-9 p.m.
“We were saddened that soggy ground conditions forced us to postpone the event from July 26, but we hope everyone will come out and join us on Friday,” said James Gossett, Huntsville Parks & Recreation Director. “This is one of our favorite events each year and we’re looking forward to a fun night.”
There will be live music, dancing, and unique lighting throughout the park. Attendees can enjoy glow-in-the-dark face paint, engaging games, and food trucks will be parked along Church and Williams streets.
Topping off the night, at 7 p.m., glow foam cannons will be fired into the crowd engulfing it in a sudsy neon green substance.
