Lockheed Martin awarded $23.5M modification to THAAD contract from MDA

HUNTSVILLE — Lockheed Martin’s Huntsville facility will share in the work on a $23.5 million THAAD contract modification, the Department of Defense announced.

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control of Dallas was awarded a $23,564,873 modification to a previously awarded contract for the acquisition of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense Configuration 3.1 Part B1 Ground Modernization equipment, according to a DoD release.

The work will be performed in Huntsville and Troy; Dallas; Sunnyvale, Calif.; and Camden, Ark., with an expected completion date Nov. 30, 2028.

The Missile Defense Agency in Huntsville is the contracting activity.
