WASHINGTON — Lockheed Martin, which has facilities in Huntsville and Courtland, received a more than $4.2 billion modification to an Army contract.

The Department of Defense announced the contractor was awarded a $4,234,948,956 modification to the contract for production of the Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System.

The total cumulative face value of the contract is $13,265,440,935, a DoD news release said. Work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of Oct. 20, 2027.

The Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal is the contracting activity.
