HUNTSVILLE — Bradley Arant Boult Cummings has appointed Huntsville partner David Vance Lucas to a three-year term on the board of directors for the AlabamaGermany Partnership.

AGP is a statewide, nonprofit dedicated to the development of the educational, business, cultural, and social relationships among individuals and organizations with ties to Alabama and Germany.

Lucas is leader of Bradley’s International and Cross Border team, providing legal strategy for technology and business; and applying technological and operational experience to strategic advice on a variety of intellectual property, international trade, and complex litigation matters to U.S. businesses abroad and foreign businesses’ operations in the U.S.

Lucas regularly advises clients on diligence, assessment, and filings for regulatory requirements; has helped define and implement international compliance processes; and has represented companies in compliance proceedings in the U.S. and internationally.

Lucas has also served on Huntsville’s Economic Development and Research and Technology Advisory Councils, as well as the North America Leader for the World Services Group Trade and Investment Practice Group.

The board of directors and 10 executive officers are responsible for governing the AGP. They work to facilitate activities and events that connect organizations and individuals, highlighting the more than 80 German businesses represented in Alabama.
