MADISON — The Madison Police Citizens Advisory Committee is accepting District 5 applications for the remaining two years of the current term.

The committee meets monthly to promote dialogue between the police department and the community. The nine-person committee includes residents selected by the mayor, City Council and the police chief.

The committee serves in an advisory capacity regarding relevant community/police issues

There is an opening to represent the city’s District 5 on the committee. Click here, if interested.

The goals of the committee are to facilitate integrity-driven policing and procedural justice focused on strengthening trust, relationships, and community collaboration.

The works in partnership with local law enforcement to provide citizen insight and communication of it between the community and the Madison Police Department.
