WASHINGTON — The DOGE axe came down on NASA this afternoon as about 10% of the space agency’s workforce was cut as part of the Trump Administration’s efforts to reduce the size of government.
According to ArsTechnica, about 1,000 probationary employees were impacted and another 750 employees accepted the deferred resignation buyout offered by President Donald Trump’s administration to federal employees across the government. The space agency employs about 18,000 people nationwide.
