HUNTSVILLE — Expect lane closures on Mastin Lake Road at North Memorial Parkway (U.S. 231-431) in Huntsville on two upcoming nights.

The Alabama Department of Transportation said Mastin Lake Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction from 8 p.m. Sunday to about 5 a.m. Monday and again from 8 p.m. Monday to about 5 a.m. Tuesday.

The intersection is the focus of a $34 million project to improve Memorial Parkway by constructing an overpass and extending the service roads northward.

The contractor, Rogers Group, will be paving to build Mastin Lake Road up to the grade of the Memorial Parkway service roads. At times during the night, all lanes may be blocked temporarily as the paving operation moves across the intersection.
