Railroad crossing repair planned for Alabama Highway 20 in Decatur

DECATUR — A short section of the westbound lanes of Alabama Highway 20 in Decatur will close Tuesday for railroad crossing repairs, the Alabama Department of Transportation announced.

Weather permitting, Norfolk Southern plans to repair the crossing just west of Alabama Highway 67/Beltline Road beginning at 8 a.m., ALDOT said.

Westbound traffic will be temporarily shifted to the inside eastbound lane. Motorists are advised to expect delays due to traffic being reduced to one lane in each direction until about 3 p.m.
