Raytheon awarded $1B contract by Missile Defense Agency

HUNTSVILLE — The Missile Defense Agency, headquartered in Huntsville, has awarded Raytheon a $1 billion missile contract.

Under the contract, Raytheon will procure and deliver a quantity up to 55 SM-3 Block IB All-Up Rounds that are manufactured, assembled, and tested in accordance with the SM-3 Block IB specifications.

The work will be performed in Tucson and Huntsville with an expected completion date of March 31, 2031.

The Missile Defense Agency in Huntsville is the contracting activity.
