WASHINGTON — Raytheon has been issued a modification of more than $2.1 billion to a $1.1 billion missile contract, the Department of Defense announced.

The $2.134 billion modification to a Missile Defense Agency contract increases the contract’s value from $1.197 billion to $3.33 billion.

Under this modification, the contractor will provide the management, material, and services associated with the sustaining engineering and product support services of the Standard Missile-3 Block missile variants for the U.S. and Foreign Military Sales partners, according to a DoD news release.

The work will be performed in Tucson and Huntsville through Oct. 29, 2029.

The Missile Defense Agency in Huntsville is the contracting activity.
