ReLaunch Job Fair brings opportunities for new start or change of career

Huntsville/ Madison County Chamber

HUNTSVILLE — Those seeking employment opportunities in the area now have a chance to attend an event that could change the trajectory of their lives.

The ReLaunch Job Fair is meant to help those who are traditionally under-resourced find a dependable job or career locally. Organizers of the event hope that it help will to put attendees on a path toward increased financial stability.

“The past ReLaunch Job Fairs have been very successful, bringing out hundreds of people each time to meet with multiple employers on the spot,” said Kayla Brown, director of strategic communications for the Chamber. “These free events are intended for individuals who are changing careers, unemployed, underemployed, have dropped out of high school, who are not achieving their full potential, or are in need of a second career chance. This specific event may also include seasonal opportunities.

“We want to emphasize the importance of sharing this event with those close to you. Most people know at least one person looking for an opportunity to work, so this advisory is targeted to not only job seekers but also friends and family of job seekers.”

The ReLaunch Job Fair is being made possible by The Huntsville/Madison County Chamber in collaboration with the local Alabama Career Center, the Alabama Community College System, local nonprofits, and community agencies.

The free event will be Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church in downtown Huntsville. Attendees are asked to use Entrance 7 on St. Clair Avenue, across from the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library.
