Resurfacing of Alabama Highway 24 in Russellville underway

RUSSELLVILLE — A resurfacing project in Russellville is underway, the Alabama Department of Transportation announced.

The $3 million project to resurface Alabama Highway 24 in the Russellville area of Franklin County was to begin today.

The work with contractor Rogers Group includes milling and resurfacing 5.5 miles of SR-24 from east of Alabama 243 in Russellville to Franklin County Road 83.

Expect delays due to single-lane closures daily.
