HUNTSVILLE – Construction firm Robins & Morton has marked the topping out of Rheumatology Associates of North Alabama’s medical office building in South Huntsville.

RANA staff sign the final steel beam.

Topping out is the installation of the final steel beam, signifying the structural completion of the project.

Sitting on 2.1 acres in the Bellewood Park neighborhood on Whitesburg Drive, the single-story, 20,500-square-foot facility will feature 24 exam rooms, four nurses stations, a lab, an infusion room, an X-ray room, and offices.

The final steel beam is in place on the RANA medical office building.

“Rheumatology Associates of North Alabama is pleased to work with Robins & Morton and  Chapman Sisson Architects to build this state-of-the-art clinic to better accommodate our  expanding practice and serve the growing population in North Alabama,” RANA’s Dr. Kun Chen said.

The facility is being built with a combination of steel and tilt-wall concrete construction. The project is scheduled for completion this year.

“Robins & Morton is excited to work with RANA to bring this important healthcare facility to North Alabama,” Robins & Morton Division Manager Mitch Coley said. “We look forward to working toward the completion of this project so our community can begin experiencing the positive impact it will bring.”

Robins & Morton is the general contractor; Chapman Sisson Architects is the architect.
