Rolling lane closures planned on I-565 for light installation

HUNTSVILLE — When the sun is setting today, Huntsville Utilities contractors will be changing out the lights along I-565.

Tonight, Wednesday and Thursday nights, crews will be working overnight to replace the overhead lights with LED lights between Exit 21 (U.S. 72 on Chapman Mountain) and Exit 9 (Wall Triana Highway/Madison Boulevard).

To accommodate the workers, rolling lane closures will be in place from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following day.

For safety, motorists are asked to avoid this area if possible and use alternate routes. If alternate routes are not available, be prepared for shifting traffic patterns and possible delays.
