HUNTSVILLE – Sameer Singhal was the big winner Thursday night at the annual Huntsville/Madison County Chamber Small Business Awards Gala.
Sighal, the president and CEO of CFD Research, won the prestigious Russell G. Brown Executive Leadership Award.
He was among the individuals and local small businesses recognized during the 40th annual ceremony in the Von Braun Center’s Saturn Ballroom.

- Hospitality Services Business of the Year: Good Company Cafe
- Engineering/Defense Business of the Year (Small): SkyfireAI
- Engineering/Defense Business of the Year (Medium): ITC Defense Corp.
- Engineering/Defense Business of the Year (Large): Science & Engineering Services (SES)
- Small Business Champion of the Year: John Schmitt, iXpressGenes, Inc.
- Retailer of the Year: Haley’s Flooring & Interiors
- Emerging Business of the Year: Cahaba Federal Solutions
- Health/Social Services Business of the Year: Cove Chiropractic, Inc.
- Woman-Owned Business of the Year: Cortina Solutions, LLC
Additionally, the Huntsville Association of Small Businesses in Advanced Technology named Lisa Davis Mays of The Catalyst Center for Business and Entrepreneurship its Small Business Advocate of the Year.
The Huntsville/Madison County Chamber hosts the annual Small Business Awards Gala to recognize the outstanding work businesses and individuals are doing in the community. Scoring and judging was handled by chambers of commerce outside this region.
