Shepherd’s brings ‘clothing for everyday life’ to downtown Athens

ATHENS — Calling itself a place “where timeless style meets southern charm,” Shepherd’s Clothiers is open for business in downtown Athens.

Shepherd’s Clothiers boasts clothing for everyday life.

The locally owned men’s clothing store at 109 S. Marion Street is holding a grand opening today until 6:30 p.m. with coffee, drinks, and snacks all day.

Shepherd’s Clothiers has clothing for everyday life, no matter the occasion: a polo for golf, a jacket for those cold winter hunts, a sports coat for date night, or even a tuxedo for the big event are.

Founded by a father-son duo, natives of Athens, the store is more than just a destination for men’s clothing and suits.

“Our carefully curated selection of menswear reflects our commitment to offering timeless pieces that exude confidence and sophistication,” the Shepherds said. “We understand the importance of quality, tradition, and community.”

To celebrate the occasion, the first 20 customers to spend $100 will receive a “grand opening” sweatshirt and grand opening coffee mugs will be given to the first 30 customers. The store will also hold a drawing for a gift card.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Shepherd’s Clothiers to downtown Athens,” said Athens Main Street Executive Director Tere Richardson. “It’s especially inspiring to see (them) turn their dream into reality. They believe that fashion is not just about clothes, but about confidence and self-expression.

“We’re confident you’ll love their beautiful shop and the unique pieces they offer.”
