South Memorial Parkway to close at Martin Road overpass for streetlight work

HUNTSVILLE — Huntsville Utilities Electric Operations will close South Memorial Parkway in both directions at the Martin Road overpass Thursday night to change out the streetlights under the overpass.

Traffic will be routed to the exits and over the overpass from 9 p.m. Thursday to 4:30 a.m. Friday.

Motorists traveling through this area are asked to do so with extreme caution as workers will be present.

If possible, travelers should plan alternate routes to minimize any inconvenience. If alternate routes are not available, be prepared for shifting traffic patterns and possible delays.
