HUNTSVILLE – Publix and The Schools Foundation will once again partner to present the Tools for Back-to-School register collection campaign to raise monies for public schools across Madison County.

Shoppers and Publix associates may make donations at the registers at participating Publix stores July 12-23. Last year, customers and Publix associates donated nearly $94,000 during the 14-day event, which was distributed to Huntsville City Schools, Madison City Schools, and Madison County Schools.

“Our Tools for Back-to-School program grew out of the need to help students and teachers,” said Brenda Reid, Publix community relations manager.

TSF Executive Director Stephanie Kelley said, “The Schools Foundation is proud to partner again with Publix, and we are thankful to have such a wonderful community steward like Publix to help TSF in its mission to support our public schools across Madison County.”

Established in 2000, The Schools Foundation supports Huntsville City, Madison City, and Madison County public schools through programming, funding, and advocacy for principals, teachers, and students.

Representing more than 56,000 students, the foundation is striving to be a driving force for excellence in public education that helps create world-class schools in Huntsville City, Madison City, and Madison County schools
