UAH’s Murr named to NABC Division II All-America team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The University of Alabama in Huntsville’s Tommy Murr, the Gulf South Conference Player of the Year, has been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Division II All-America team. He is the sixth Charger in program history to earn the honor.

Murr averaged 20.8 points per game with 5.7 assists per game along with achieving 50-40-90 splits in field goal percentage, three-point percentage, and free-throw percentage.

The Athens native ended the season with 688 points and ended his two-year Charger career with 1,218 points which ranks him 17th overall in scoring in UAH history.

UAH finished the season at 32-2 and a perfect 25-0 record against GSC opponents. The Chargers made it to their eighth NCAA South Region Championship game.
