Vintage Pickin Fall Market in Fort Payne a pickers paradise

FORT PAYNE – The month of October brings cooler temperatures and glorious fall colors to DeKalb County, making it an ideal time to plan a trip to the northeastern part of Home Sweet Home Alabama.

Set for Oct. 7-8, the Vintage Pickin Fall Market features approximately 60 hand-selected artisans and pickers from across the Southeast. They will bring truckloads of vintage, one-of-a-kind antiques, fall home decor and vintage-inspired handmade goods, turning the two-day event into a picker’s paradise.

There will be live music and food trucks to enjoy while shopping. The food truck area will open 30 minutes before the shopping hours for those that want to grab a bite before pickin’ through the fabulous merchandise.

Hours and nonrefundable admission tickets are:

Oct. 7 – Early Pickin’ is 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. With an Early Pickin’ ticket, guests can shop all weekend for one price. An Early Pickin’ ticket online is $18. Tickets are $20 cash only at the gate. General admission is from 2–6 p.m. Tickets are presold online for $8 and $10 cash only at the gate.

Oct. 8 – General admission is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Online presale tickets are $8 and $10 cash only at the gate.

Admission is free for children 12 years old and under. Parking is free.

The sale is held rain or shine at the VFW Fairgrounds, 151 18th Street NE.
